We’re open five nights a week and wholly committed to making meals memorable, and making them from only the best ingredients. Simply put, amid the clamor of crescent city cuisine, Carrollton Market is the endearing, enjoyable dining experience foodies and locals have come to love.

Carrollton Market is an elegantly designed bistro by local interior designer Curtis Herring. With shades of gray and eggshell, Carrollton Market is an inviting and calming atmosphere. The dark hardwood floors are original – striking and modern with the accompanying white-marble table – tops with granite food and beverage bars that lend simplicity and quality. The soul of Carrollton Market is embodied in an open-kitchen with an adjoining bar perfect for curious diners wishing to interact with the chefs and learn more about the craft of cuisine.

If you’ve met Chef Jason Goodenough, you know he’s a gentle, inquisitive man; a culinary talent who is humble and determined to create one of the consistently best dining experiences in New Orleans.

Chef Jason’s culinary interests blossomed in full shortly after college, when he enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. From there, he travelled extensively, working with the best chefs and remaining endlessly curious. Chef Jason made the most of opportunities with Georges Perrier and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, and counts these as defining career experiences.

When he made the leap to New Orleans, Chef Jason joined Emeril’s NOLA in the French Quarter while honing his craft as a private chef. Naturally the city inspired Jason and in turn captured his complete devotion. With Carrollton Market, Chef Jason’s philosophy — ingredient-driven, world-class contemporary Southern cuisine — shapes and guides the fundamental verve of Carrollton Market.

Chef Jason lives with his family near the beautiful Bayou St. John in New Orleans.  He lives with his lovely wife and two daughters.
