Chef Jason Goodenough’s Riverbend bistro Carrollton Market combines a Southern palate with skilled technique. The restaurant opened in March 2014, taking over the spot that for many years was ONE Restaurant and Lounge.

The Happy Hour Deal: Goodenough has three cooks. And each weekday, he challenges them to each invent a new passed hors d’oeuvre. These are given away during happy hour. Recent options include pork rillettes, sambal fish croquettes and crispy pork belly cauliflower espuma. An $8 burger with hand-cut fries is also available. And classic cocktails and house wines are $6.

When: Tuesday to Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
