On Saturday July 25th Chef Jason Goodenough will delve deep into the Delta as the guest culinary artist of “the inaugural Deer Creek Mingle.” Everything and everyone comes together in what promises to be an enchanted evening at the historic Thompson House in Leland, Mississippi. The event is playfully, and perhaps aptly named, “The Deer Creek Mingle” and brings together with no exception all that is legendary about Southern culture: art, music, and food.

Chef Jason and his wife, a native of Leland, are thrilled to be included in the festivities and eager to unveil a five-course menu crafted and inspired by Leland—commingling the very best of Louisiana and Mississippi recipes and famed fare. In addition to the supper, the Deer Creek Mingle will showcase the work of Leland farmer and painter Harry “Bub” Branton as well as talented Greenville recording artist, Bronwynne Brent. Longtime and passionate supporter of New Orleans musicians and artists, Chef Jason is honored to be a part of such a special evening to celebrate local art and culture, and toast the Delta’s rich artistic heritage.
